Spinal Stenosis is a condition that typically affects people later on in life with symptoms showing up in individuals 40 years of age and older. What happens is that when we age, the spinal canal naturally becomes more narrow which in turn can put pressure on the spinal cord and pinch the nerves. This pinching of the nerves can lead to symptoms such as back pain, lack of feeling in the lower body, buttocks pain and limping. Sometimes, although rare, Spinal Stenosis can be congenital when imperfections in the spine take place during the development process.
